My Pastime With Acrylic Painting
63In everyones life there should be a goal......
It should be what you want to do, not all the things someone else wants you to do....Their desires might be for your benefit and you should embrace them in a way that helps you as an individual to grow in life. What I am talking about here is not the kind of goal to marry the greatest person in the world, to live forever, to become the richest person in the world or other goals that everyone needs.
My simple "Have fun, personal goal" was always to play a musical instrument or to draw/paint to some better then average degree. These type of goals should be pure personal satisfaction and enjoyment, not what critics say, not what friends and family want you to do ,but again, listening to their inputs and using your own satisfaction as a guide. This area can be a vast conversation and yet only touch the surface of this topic, so, having said that, my sharing of some of my art is what I am going to do.My art, these are Acrylic paintings I did because I finally had the time to do them, I did not, have not and will most likely never study or practice like I should.....That is one of the biggest reasons I never learned the musical instrument....I just don't take the time to do it right, my fault.I self-taught myself on the Acrylic, I cannot blame anyone but myself....I always feel with most goals, it's what you are happy with on the outcome, are you happy, are you satisfied and did you enjoy doing it....Embrace the outside inputs but again, you should usually come first.....Always try to become better, achieve more and bring joy to others . I wish I could paint better and play that musical instrument, Lord knows, I have bought a lot of them, again, trying to teach myself and no effort on the practice side, once again, my fault.
What I have done with my painting is to enjoy myself, I have, I am satisfied with most of them, I have heard both good and not so good comments, that's ok. I have taken a few lessons in Watercolor and Pastels and have done some equally nice paintings and will do another HUB soon on each of them.
I am posting several acrylic paintings just to share.

Your acrylics are great! I think this must be your favorite medium. Your snow scenes especially shine out with strong light and dark, true accurate light, depth and rich beauty. Way cool.
The best art is done when you're just enjoying yourself and painting what you love.
One of the things that has improved my enjoyment of my art is blogging it -- whenever I finish a drawing or painting, I'll put it on my blog and say a little about it. I get lots of comments and compliments and that encourages me to more -- and the more I do, the better I get. Eventually that became daily art because it was something that turned into a habit after a couple of daily art challenges were a lot of fun.
